Kincaid No. 3 Jacket In Coffee Wool Hopsack

This is a particularly soft, not-too-heavy wool hopsack from Northern Italy, where the alpine climate, the sheep population, and even the water quality make it a hotbed for beautiful textile production. It’s got a great, slightly open weave and makes for a fantastic transition-weather jacket that’ll take you all the way into deep winter. The color is nice, too: kind of charred, not too warm or chocolatey, super-easy to wear. The No. 3 jacket make has full canvas construction — the sine qua non of tailoring — with a special, structured 3-layer canvas that’ll mold and meld to your body over time. And our Kincaid model has a natural shoulder, a 2-button front, and a shorter, darted body with some tracing for a fit that’s slimmish but never skinny.
